Hello there! If you were expecting useful knowledge within these NaPodPoMo posts then that would be a mistake. I had originally wanted to publish these on another domain but no matter.
I am introducing these podcasts as my Hive/Web 3 handle: ASynckronism . So do not be alarmed!
This NaPodPoMo the episodes focus on a game I’ve greatly enjoyed playing over the last 4 or so years, New World(:Aeternum). New World is a modern MMO that hit a lot of marks with players for a variety of reasons while also faltering in other aspects but still managing to hold my interest for a number of years.
I’ve always enjoyed the whimsical nature of Fishing in video games and the fishing in New World was something I participated with often. With the announcement of the game shutting down sometime in 2026 I wanted to catalogue and share my favorite fishing spots in Aeternum for myself but also as a way to remember the game once it shuts down. There is a quote from Pacific Rim “You’ll always find me in the drift!” and that idea of creating something and publishing it to a stream so it can stay alive, both the memories and the fact that it existed, really hits deep.
So here is my Episode 1 for the NaPodPoMo 2025 challenge – 30 podcasts in 30 days.
